Company: AudioCodes
Position: VP of Strategic Marketing
Duration: FTE
Location: Remote, no time zone preference.
Salary: Open – RSUs and bonus potential.
Why Open:
Propping up their marketing department – don’t want to mess their process up, but they lack in expanding their brand/presence/storytelling to analyst community. They want the analyst community to know them better, and speaking the language back to their customer base. Product led company and done really well by anticipating technology transitions well. Lacked in outward marketing activity – where their customers speak about AudioCodes as if it’s their own business, etc. They are creating a role specifically for VP of strategic marketing (or kind of like a chief marketing officer) but don’t want to mess with demand gen, lead gen, etc. They aren’t trying to mess that up. They just need more corporate marketing, analyst relations, etc. Coordination of various briefing. They’ve transformed from a product, to service, to cloud, most recent iteration of SaaS, cloud computing.
Don’t want a competitor – (like ribbon, etc) that sells hardware, they want someone who has worked at a company that sells services. Folks that understand reoccurring services, know the analyst community in the area of software reoccurring business. Services is 42% of the business, products are 58% of the business. Hardware is 1/3 total revenue – but is becoming less significant. So they want services/software to be the bulk, reoccuring business has been doubling and tripling. They’re doing 40 mill in reoccurring sales, 270 mill total. Migrate to more reoccurring business. done storytelling before, this is huge for him.
Must Haves:
- SaaS / Platform Storytelling Experience: Enterprise SaaS / PaaS marketing with an emphasis on positioning, competitive analysis, storytelling, and brand-building. Success will be judged on what is accomplished and delivered, not what is proposed.
- People Leadership: Experience or gravitas to report directly to the CSO and work with other senior executives globally proven ability to collaborate with, lead and develop high-performing and distributed marketing teams with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A VP with the intention of becoming a C-level in the next few years.
- Don’t really want someone who is managing people, or focus on managing people. But down the line, they could take over all of marketing, etc. So perhaps a year into it, they could manage people.
- Work Experience: Have worked in an evolving and entrepreneurial, high-growth company and culture, and at least 12 years in B2B technology sector.
- High Energy and Results Oriented: Have a mindset that can inspire an organization and energize others around the AudioCodes’ future and has a strong focus on execution and operational excellence.
